On August 20, officers of the Tavush regional department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a 61-year-old resident of Paravakar village on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and transferred them to the regional department. As a result of the explanatory work, he confirmed the information.
A criminal proceeding was initiated, within the framework of which 376 bullets of different calibers, 87 balls of 12.5 mm caliber bullets and a grenade from an "AGS" type grenade launcher were found and confiscated in the building of a 61-year-old man in the garden. The 61-year-old man was presented to the preliminary investigation body.
On the same day, operational information about the illegal possession of weapons and ammunition was also received regarding the 32-year-old resident of Paravakar village.
As a result of the explanatory work, the 32-year-old man presented to the police an AK-type assault rifle illegally stored in the garage. The 32-year-old man was presented to the preliminary investigation body with the prepared documents. The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs again urges to voluntarily hand over the illegally stored weapons and ammunition in order to avoid criminal liability.
