The security forces of the new Syrian leadership will pursue the supporters of the former president of the republic, Bashar al-Assad, who refuse to lay down their weapons. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the transitional government, Muhammed Abdel Rahman.

"What happened on the coast gives us more determination to root out the remnants of the Assad regime," he was quoted as saying by the Al Hadath TV channel.
