By mid-2024, the population of planet Earth has reached almost 8.2 billion people and is expected to increase by another 2 billion over the next 60 years, reaching 10.3 billion people by the mid-2080s. According to "Armenpress", this is stated in the report of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The United Nations predicts that the Earth's population will reach 10.3 billion people in 2084, then decline to about 10.2 billion people by the end of the century. The report also says that women around the world are having one fewer child on average today than in 1990.
