It is often said that Armenia has a great potential in the field of tourism, but it is not fully used. Experts regularly raise the need not only to develop the service sector, but also to make Armenia's tourist zones more recognizable to the world expanding the scope of cooperation with various international brands.
Recently, an agreement was signed between the "Modern Group" company and one of the famous tourist companies in the world, the French Accor hotel group, according to which in 2026 A Novotel Living brand hotel will operate in Tsaghkadzor. This event took place in Matenadaran during the forum entitled "Yerevan International Hospitality Forum 2024: global ideas for hotel business in Armenia", which is considered a significant event aimed at strengthening Armenia's position in the hospitality market, attracting investments and forming strategic partnerships. The forum was initiated by Stone Development and Enterprise Armenia with the support of the Armenian Tourism Committee and the Armenian Hotel Association. It was impressive not only in the number of participants, the topicality of the topics discussed, but also in the participation of international partners and the representativeness of the speakers.
In particular, top managers of the largest international hotel chains such as Accor S.A., Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International Inc., Radisson Hotel Group were among the speakers. Let's add that several other cooperation agreements were signed during the forum, according to which there will be direct and indirect investments in Armenia, tourist zones will become more recognizable.
