Limit expired cars that leave 2 kilometers of smoke behind. Tigran Avinyan

"The information obtained from 149 air quality measuring devices can be seen online on our websites, and in the winter months this information is sometimes worrying," Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said today during the procedural consultation.

Avetisyan, an employee of the municipality, said that every year in the winter months, excesses of air pollution are recorded.

According to him, it is determined by the fact that cold air accumulates in the bottom parts of the Ararat depression, which brings with it the accumulation of pollution in the low-lying parts, which depends on the fact that there is no ventilation for a certain period of time.

"A four-year air quality improvement program should be developed, which should include the simplest methods, such as tree planting and afforestation, as well as certain restrictions, for example, the operation of already expired cars in Yerevan city, which leave behind another 2 kilometers of smoke and are big polluters. Avinyan said and ordered to present the plan in two months.
