Services worth UAH 227 billion were sold in Ukraine in January-March 2020, which is 1.7% less than in the relevant period of 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.
"In the first quarter of 2020, the volume of services provided by enterprises in the field of consumer services amounted to UAH 227.0 billion, or 98.3% of the volume provided in the relevant quarter of the previous year. At the same time, services provided to the population accounted for 23.1% of the total volume of services provided (in the first quarter of 2019 - 21.1%),” reads the statement.

In January-March 2020, the largest volume of services were provided in the warehousing sector and support activities in the field of transport (worth UAH 41.15 billion), the land and pipeline transport sector (UAH 40.87 billion), the lease and operation of own or leased real estate (UAH 22.13 billion).

The leader in the volume of services provided in the first quarter of 2020 was Kyiv city (UAH 89.67 billion). Among the regions, the first place was taken by Odesa region (UAH 16.81 billion), which is followed by Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 15.03 billion), and Donetsk region (UAH 11.74 billion).

The lowest volume of services in January-March 2020 was sold in Luhansk region (UAH 535.0 million), Chernivtsi region (UAH 943.5 million) and Kherson region (UAH 1168.1 million).

As Ukrinform reported, according to data provided by the State Statistics Service, the volume of services sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 amounted to UAH 239.4 billion, which is 0.2% more than in the relevant quarter of 2018.
