President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, the president’s press service reported on Thursday evening.
“The interlocutors discussed the security situation in Donbas. The President responded positively to the UN Secretary-General's call for an immediate global ceasefire, noting that Ukraine was one of the first countries to support it. The President called on the UN to start preparing an efficient United Nations plan for attracting investment to restore Donbas after its de-occupation” reads the statement on the president’s website.

The parties paid special attention to the issue of the liberation of Ukrainians, who are illegally detained in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, occupied Crimea and Russia.
