Иранскую правозащитницу и адвоката Насрин Сотуде приговорили к 10 годам тюрьмы и 148 ударам плетью. Об этом ее муж Сотуде Реза Хандан рассказал.

Сотуде получила в общей сложности 33 года тюрьмы по семи обвинениям: в сговоре против власти, нарушении общественного порядка и другим статьям. По иранскому законодательству она будет отбывать самый длительный срок — десятилетний. Помимо этого, суд назначил правозащитнице 148 ударов плетью за то, что она пришла в суд без хиджаба.

Насрин Сотуде активно выступает за отмену обязательного ношения хиджаба для женщин и не поддерживает смертную казнь. В июле 2018 года 55-летнюю женщину арестовали и присудили пять лет тюрьмы по обвинению в шпионаже. До этого она уже отсидела три года за антигосударственную пропаганду. В 2012 году ей вручили премию Сахарова за выдающийся вклад в борьбу за права человека.
