A new feature has been added to the iPhone that will make communication even more comfortable

Apple has added support for RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging to the iPhone, something Google has been asking for for a long time. However, RCS messages are not protected by end-to-end encryption, reports 9to5Google. Support for RCS messages became available to iPhone users in the US after the iOS 18 second beta update. Customers of telecommunications companies such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon can now use RCS, which allows them to see the delivery status of messages, whether they have been read or not. RCS also has text input indicators as well as an improved file sharing experience. However, in its current form, messages are not end-to-end encrypted and have limited SMS and MMS settings. These features are expected to be added this fall with the release of the stable build of iOS 18. Google has repeatedly asked Apple to add support for the RCS standard to iMessage, which is being promoted by Google. This standard has no character limit, has support for sending photos without clicking and group chats.
