iPhone could get a tired smiley with bags under the eyes, a fingerprint and 5 more new emojis

The Unicode Consortium recently introduced seven new emojis that are already available in the Unicode 16 beta. As MacRumors reports, these new emojis could be coming to the iPhone very soon, as Apple regularly updates its iPhone emoji catalog based on Unicode catalog updates. Therefore, new emojis may appear on iOS in the near future.
Among the new emoji added to the Unicode catalog are the following: Tired smiley with bags under the eyes, Fingerprint, Leafless tree, Root, Harp, Spade, Ink splash. These emoji are in open testing, which will last until June 2. Once testing is complete, smartphone manufacturers, including Apple, will be able to implement the new emojis on their devices. It will probably happen in late 2024 or early 2025. Recall that the last time Apple updated its emoji catalog was in March 2024 with the release of iOS 17.4. Then, on the iPhone and other company devices, emojis such as a lime, an edible brown mushroom, a phoenix, a cut chain, and two emojis that move their heads both up and down and left and right in agreement and denial appeared.
