Chemezov proposed measures for training defense industry specialists

The head of the Rostec state corporation Sergei Chemezov in the Federation Council proposed a number of measures to train specialists and eliminate the shortage of personnel at the corporation's enterprises in the field of state defense procurement. "I believe that our joint task with the governors is to systematically work comprehensively to create all the necessary conditions for the development of human capital our regions and the personnel potential of defense industry enterprises... It is necessary to legislatively improve approaches to targeted training, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the employer in the selection of applicants, as well as increase the involvement of regional authorities in the process of career guidance for schoolchildren and retaining graduates of technical universities in their regions,” Chemezov said.

Another measure proposed by the head of Rostec is to ensure targeted admission to educational institutions of the secondary vocational education system. In addition, it is necessary to provide a deferment from military service for conscription to target soldiers who, after graduating from secondary and higher educational institutions, are employed at defense industry enterprises.

“Today, the shortage of personnel only at Rostec enterprises that carry out state defense orders is about 30 thousand people,” Chemezov noted, adding that in many cities the corporation’s factories are city-forming. Currently, with the participation of the Rostec organization, an order 200 engineering classes nationwide. The corporation's organizations acted as partners in 36 educational and industrial classes to train specialists in blue-collar professions. More than 500 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism”.
