Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin was the first to vote in the elections of State Duma deputies at the polling station located in the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. Dmitry Danilov, press secretary of the diplomatic mission, informed RIA Novosti about this.
According to him, Kopirkin was the first to use his electoral right, thereby opening the work of the polling station.
Two polling stations scheduled for the elections of the deputies of the ninth convocation of the State Duma are operating in Armenia on Sunday: at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan and the Consulate General in Gyumri.
Voting is held from 08:00 to 20:00. Citizens of Russia over the age of 18 who permanently reside or are temporarily located in the territory of Armenia can vote.
