The list of Ameriabank's trade finance awards was supplemented by four prestigious awards from EBRD and IFC


Ameriabank has received four prestigious awards from international financial institutions in the field of trade finance. At the recent trade promotion program awards ceremony, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) awarded Ameriabank with the "Export Deal of the Year 2023", "Renewable Energy Deal of the Year 2023" awards and an award for completing the Climate Change Prevention and Transition Planning Program in Armenia. The awarding team highlighted "Ameriabank's outstanding contribution in promoting trade in the field of green technologies and providing continuous support for the transition to a green economy." Earlier, Ameriabank was awarded the International Finance Corporation (IFC) "Outstanding Issuing Bank in the Caucasus Region under the Global Trade Finance Program" award held in Barcelona. At the meeting of global trade partners, which brought together more than 300 representatives of the international trade financing sector.
"These awards demonstrate our growing involvement in international trade finance, highlighting our expanding partnerships in implementing green finance initiatives with the support of international financial institutions and partner banks. We will continue to contribute to building a resource-efficient and environmentally sustainable future of Armenia, and we are grateful to our partners for supporting us on this path," said Suren Kocharyan, head of Ameriabank's Trade Financing Center. We should add that Ameriabank's trade financing services have traditionally been aimed at fast-growing economies. sectors, including IT, construction, energy and manufacturing, as well as promoting foreign trade. As of the end of 2023, the portfolio of letters of credit and guarantees of Ameriabank amounted to 73.1 billion AMD, doubling compared to the previous year, the number of transactions increased by more than 60%, and the portfolio of funds involved for trade financing exceeded 26 billion AMD. Ameriabank was the first is the Armenian bank, which in 2013 received the status of an approving bank within the framework of the Trade Promotion Program of the EBRD. Moreover, from 2022, Ameriabank is the first and only Armenian bank that has the status of an approving bank also within the framework of the IFC's Global Trade Financing Program.
