Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could agree on the ceasefire in Gaza on April 2024, but he refused to do so for his political survival.

When the parties finally agreed on a ceasefire in January 202, Netanyahu violated the ceasefire in March, partly to avoid angry with the right.
