The eldest son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Akhmat Kadyrov, has been awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports, referring to the administration of the head and government of Chechnya.
20-year-old Akhmat Kadyrov was congratulated on receiving the state award, highlighting his work as Minister of Sports. The administration of the head of Chechnya stated that, despite his young age, he “has shown himself to be a competent leader” and has achieved high results in a short time.
Akhmat Kadyrov was born in 2005. In 2024, he headed the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Chechnya, and in early 2026 he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the republic.
The administration of the head of Chechnya also stated that Kadyrov is "working with dignity" in the footsteps of his grandfather, the first president of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov.
