Former Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan has been appointed as a Senior Advisor to Policy and Management Consulting Group, an international consulting firm, according to the company’s official statement. According to the company, Grigoryan joins the firm with extensive experience at the highest levels of government and a career in strategic management, diplomacy, international relations, institutional reform, crisis management, and regional security.
“This experience already contributes to the work of PMCG. He is involved in the feasibility assessment of TRIPP, an initiative focused on strengthening connectivity through Armenia and supporting the broader potential for regional cooperation, peace, and prosperity,” the company noted. PMCG noted that Grigoryan served as Security Council Secretary from 2018-2026, and briefly served as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2021.
Grigoryan served as Secretary of the Security Council for nearly eight years, from 2018 to August 13, 2026. After his dismissal, Alen Simonyan was appointed Secretary of the Security Council. After Grigoryan's dismissal, media outlets reported that Pashinyan had offered him the position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, but he declined the offer.
