The Israeli side has apologized for comment to the Protection

The Public Television clarified the Israeli public broadcaster for the commentary of the Armenian participant after the speech of the Armenian participant during the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

We present the official letter of the General Director of the Public Broadcasting of Israel to the Executive Director of the Public Television of Armenia, where the Israeli side apologizes for the expressions made by the report.

Attached is the official letter.

Eurovision broadcasts in Israel are traditionally accompanied by humorous and light comments, during which the interpretation couple makes fun and interesting observations about songs, performers and participating countries.

During the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, commentators made direct humorous comments, including Armenia's song, as they do in almost all performances. One of the mentioned jokes, which was addressed exclusively to the song, and not to the country or the Armenian people, involuntarily offended some members of the Armenian community. Of course, this has not been completely intentional.

On the contrary, on several occasions, members of the Israeli delegation highlighted the connection with Armenia's song and emphasized the warm relations between the two delegations.

When we learned that the comment was perceived as an insult, the commentator made this expression publicly apologized to his personal platform. In addition, clarification will be presented directly on this evening on this evening.

Kan - Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation asks for this humorous interpretation.

We wish you success to the Armenian team during today's speech.

Respectfully,

Golan Jochkaz

General Director of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation
