Russia has appealed to Azerbaijan and Georgia to import electricity in case of accidents

Russia asked Azerbaijan and Georgia to import a total of 600 MW of electricity in emergency situations. As "TACC" informs, Alexandra Panina, a member of the board of "Inter RAO", announced this within the framework of the All-Russian Tariff Forum.

"Yes, we have sent inquiries to two countries, Azerbaijan and Georgia, regarding the possibility of supplying us with electricity. We are considering the possibility of importing and asked to use the capabilities of two neighboring power systems to supply us with electricity in emergency situations," said Panina.

According to him, the company has not yet received a response from Georgia and Azerbaijan.
