The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation called on the sponsorship of Sarik Andreasyan's films

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Control Committee Dmitry Gus has appealed to the Minister of Culture Olga Loubimova, with a proposal to refuse to finance Sarik Andreasyan's films. This was reported by RTVI. Gus thinks that Andreasyan did disrespect about Russian culture with his last speech in Moscow's latter's No. 40.

According to the parliamentarian, the director's behavior harms the entire reputation of Russian film industry.

"Andreasyan's statements may have a negative impact on the professional development of young people, as well as the reputation of domestic cinema," Gus said. Gus has considered it inexpedient to allocate budget money to Andreasyan's projects, as they do not pay for themselves.

Over the past 10 years, the MP has detailed 590 million rubles for Andreasyan's films, of which only 175 million has been provided to the Cinema Foundation.

"However, the results of the spread of his films testify to low demand for those works, which questions the expediency of such funding," the MP said. Sarik Andreasyan was arguing with the students of Moscow International Film School yesterday.

When one of the girls asked him about festival films, he said he hates Tarkovsky and the author's films. Translation of: Lurer.com
