Trump drew attention to the fact that Ukraine needs elections

US President Donald Trump has supported the need for elections in Ukraine, pointing to the low level of support for Vladimir Zelyansky among the population.

"I said you know if they wanted to sit at the negotiating table, it can be said that people have to say that we have not had elections for a long time ago," RIA. According to Novosti, Trump said during a press conference to journalists, answering the question whether he supported the holding of elections in Ukraine.

Trump stressed that there were no elections in Ukraine, and Zelensky's rating has dropped to 4%.

He also noted that the issue of holding elections in Ukraine is not Russia's demand, but it is concerned about "many" countries.
