The suspect in the armed attack at the reception attended by US President Donald Trump stayed at the hotel where the event was held. That was announced by Washington police chief Jeff Carroll.
On Saturday evening, all those present at the Washington Hilton hotel in the US capital, where a celebratory dinner was held with the participation of White House reporters and members of the US administration, including Trump and his wife, were evacuated after hearing gunshots inside the building.

The police chief added that the man was armed with a shotgun, knives and a gun were also found with him.
Trump published the photo of the attacker on his social page.
