Trump did not exclude that he will visit China this year

US President Donald Trump does not rule out that he may visit China this year if invited, he said this after his inauguration, on the evening of January 20, in a conversation with reporters in the Oval Office of the White House.


At the same time, the US leader hinted that the issue largely depends on Beijing sending an invitation to Washington. "It could happen if I had an invitation," Trump said when asked if he would go to China this year. On January 19, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that Trump was considering his the opportunity to travel to China during the first 100 days of office. According to the publication, the purpose of the visit will be to strengthen relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
