Israel launched an airstrike on the country's territory a day after signing the agreement with Lebanon

The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it carried out an airstrike in the direction of the suspected militants in Nabatia region in the south of Lebanon, "AFP" reports.

This is the first such blow since Washington announced the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

The representative of the Israeli Armed Forces stated in a conversation with the "AFP" agency that the target of the attack was "suspected terrorists who had issued threats against the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)".

Lebanon's state agency "NNA" reported that an Israeli drone attack was also recorded in Nabatia region. There are no reports of possible casualties or damage.

The incident took place a day after the signing of a US-brokered security agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which aims to reduce tensions along the border after months of cross-border clashes involving Hezbollah.
