If you are going to go to Russia, then know that From July 1, 2026, Russia has made pre-registration with the RuID (Госуслуги RuID) system mandatory for foreigners traveling to Russia without a visa. This also applies to citizens of Armenia.
Before traveling to Russia, you need to download the official RuID application and register. The application for entry must be submitted no earlier than 90 days and no later than 72 hours before crossing the border. In emergency cases (for example, death of a close relative or serious illness) it can be done up to 4 hours before.
During registration, it is required: passport data, photo, purpose of visit entry and exit expected dates in some cases also a voice sample for initial biometric identification. As before, biometric checks can be carried out at the border: taking photos and taking fingerprints.
Who does not concern? There are exceptions, namely: Belarusian citizens, children up to 6 years old, those entering Russia with a visa, as well as for persons with certain diplomatic and official status. The purpose of this change is to digitize Russia's migration control.
With the help of RuID, a digital profile of a foreigner is formed, which can later be used when using state services and in migration processes.
