The US will promote energy cooperation between India and Venezuela. Rubio

The United States intends to promote the development of energy cooperation between India and Venezuela. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated this in an interview with the Indian news agency IANS, TASS reports.

Answering the question about solving the problems in the energy sector against the backdrop of the crisis in the Middle East, the Secretary of State noted that the long-term solution lies in the diversification of supplies.

"India is negotiating not only with the USA. We are also working closely with Venezuela to increase its extraction capacity. India is one of the few countries in the world that has technologies for refining the heavy oil that Venezuela produces, so we intend to contribute to this direction of cooperation," he noted.

"India has been paying special attention to the diversification of energy sources for a long time. I believe that this trend will continue. We would certainly like to participate in that because we think we have the appropriate solutions," Rubio added.
