The new Syrian authorities have declared that they do not pose a threat to the Arab countries

The new Syrian authorities do not pose a threat to other Arab countries. This was stated by their leader Ahmed al-Sharaa (known by the nickname of Abu Muhammad al-Julani) in an interview given to Asharq al-Awsat newspaper.

"Syria will not become a platform for an attack on any Arab or Gulf country, nor will it become a cause for concern.

Our presence in Damascus does not mean a threat to anyone," al-Sharaa said. He added that the new authorities strive to bring Syria to a new level of economic development and are committed to cooperation.
According to him, Damascus also intends to build "respectful relations" with neighboring Lebanon.

"We don't want to interfere in Lebanon's internal affairs because we have enough work to do in our country," he explained.
