Kiev opened Pandora's box with strikes in the Black Sea: Peskov

The Russian side did not initiate the attack on ships in the Black Sea, and Kiev, targeting peaceful objects, opened a Pandora's box, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

Before that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that attempts to restore the grain agreement by imposing a Russian-Ukrainian ban on attacks in the Black Sea are unacceptable and unrealistic.

"Russia did not initiate (the attack on ships - ed.). I want to remind you of the statement of (Russian - ed.) President Putin, who said that we did not strike. Only after the Ukrainians began to strike our peaceful infrastructure facilities, economic facilities. Then they opened Pandora's box," Peskov emphasized in a conversation with reporters.
