Benjamin Haddad, the French Foreign Ministry's Minister Delegate for European Affairs, said he did not consider it necessary to respond to every post by US President Donald Trump, after he published a map showing French overseas territories in the Caribbean in the colors of the American flag.
"If we were to respond to every post by the White House and Donald Trump, our time would be running out. Therefore, I think it is not worth commenting too much and responding too much to every whim," Haddad said in an interview with Sud Radio.
Earlier, Trump published a map on his Truth Social social network, where dozens of countries, including Cuba, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, were depicted in the colors of the American flag. Greenland and Iceland were also marked with the American flag.
