The cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang in the military sphere is actively expanding, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov announced this during the talks held in Pyongyang with the Defense Minister of the DPRK, Noh Gwan Chol.
"Today, friendly ties between Russia and the DPRK are actively expanding in all directions, including military cooperation. We are ready to implement all agreements reached at a high level," TAAS quoted Belousov as saying.
The Russian Defense Minister expressed his belief that "today's negotiations will serve to further strengthen the Russian-Korean strategic partnership in the defense sector."
Andrei Belousov also stated that the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Russian Federation and the DPRK is aimed at reducing the risk of a new war in Northeast Asia, and should also lay the foundation for a new Eurasian security system.
