Maka Bochorishvili, a former deputy of the Parliament of Georgia, was confirmed as the head of the Republic's Foreign Ministry by the results of a vote broadcast live on the website of the country's highest legislative body.
On Thursday, at the plenary session of the new 11th convocation parliament of Georgia, in which the majority is the "Georgian Dream" party, expressed confidence in the renewed composition of the government led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, as well as the government's plan.
There are three new ministers in the government: Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Justice Anri Okhanashvili and Head of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili.
During the recently held commission sessions in the Parliament, Bochorishvili stated that Georgia is aiming for membership in the European Union and NATO, as well as the restoration of relations with the USA.
