The statements of the Armenian side prove that Yerevan is withdrawing from all formats of CSTO work. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told journalists about this, answering the question about the possibility of Armenia's participation in the CSTO summit to be held on November 28, Russian mass media reports.
The senior diplomat was asked whether there is an opportunity for Armenia to participate in the upcoming CSTO events, including the leaders' meeting.
"Ask the question to the Armenian side, however, judging by the statements of the Armenian side, at this stage it withdraws from participating in absolutely all formats of the CSTO activity," answered Pankin. Earlier, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that "CSTO creates threats to Armenia's security, its future existence and sovereignty".
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at the international security forum in Warsaw that Yerevan is calculating all the risks related to the decision to withdraw from the CSTO.
