On September 10, officers of the Berd subdivision of the Tavush Regional Department of the Eco-Parking Service of the Ministry of Environment noticed a ZIL car in the forest area during control and preventive measures. The eco-parking officers monitored the car’s movement using a drone. According to the service, during the operation, it was recorded that the driver, noticing the presence of the officers, began to unload the timber in the car.
The officers took measures to document the location of the timber and the circumstances surrounding the incident. As a result of the work carried out by the eco-parking officers, the alleged offender loaded the timber back into the car and transported it to the Berd subdivision of the Tavush Regional Department of the Eco-parking Service. According to preliminary data, the volume of the discovered timber is about 3 cubic meters.
Currently, necessary measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident, clarify the origin of the timber, and calculate the amount of damage caused.
