The coming to power of Donald Trump will not change the fundamental attitude of the USA towards the situation in Ukraine, Washington wants to keep everything under its control, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Marina Kim.
"Washington's principled attitude towards Ukrainian and even European issues will not change in the sense that Washington will always strive to keep under its control everything that happens in the vicinity of NATO and in the territory of NATO itself," the leader noted.
He added that the proposals to freeze the conflict in Ukraine along the contact line are the same as the "Minsk Agreements", they are even worse.
"How it will be done, how they imagine the implementation of their control functions in new conditions, it can be done in different ways. I dare not guess. But I have no doubt that they will want to keep these processes under their control," he said.
