Regular use of peanuts can reduce the probability of allergy from it by 81 percent. NEJM:

Feeding peanuts to children from a few months to five years of age can reduce the likelihood of peanut allergy by 81 percent. This is evidenced by the research published in the journal NEJM Evidence. During the experiment, half of the children consumed peanuts and products made from them from several months to five years of age, and the other half avoided peanuts during that time. Early use of peanuts at age five reduced the likelihood of allergies by 81 percent. Children then avoided eating peanuts at age 5-6. Despite this, they maintained a low probability of allergy. At age 12, 15.4 percent of participants who avoided peanuts (38 of 246 children) and 4.4 percent of those who consumed peanuts as children ( (11 out of 251 children).A safe and simple strategy to introduce peanuts widely into children's diets could prevent tens of thousands of cases of allergy in the United States. The scientists recommended consulting a pediatrician before making any changes to the diet.
