Israel has no control program over the Gaza Strip, and the government intends to hand over control over the region to the Arab forces. The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu stated this on August 7.
"We do not want to be in the Gaza Strip as a ruling body. We want to hand over it to the Arab forces that will adequately protect it without threatening us and to provide a good life for the Gaza People, "said Netanyahu.
He clarified that the only way for Israel to achieve this goal is the elimination of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement.
