A 14-year-old schoolboy died during a physical education class in the town of Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia. The boy's condition deteriorated sharply at the beginning of the class, during a warm-up and light jogging, after which he lost consciousness.
This was reported by Mikhail Puchkov, Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The school nurse immediately began to provide first aid, and school employees called an ambulance. The medical team arrived at the school about 7 minutes later, but the resuscitation measures taken were ineffective, and the child's life could not be saved.
All the circumstances of the incident, as well as the cause of the child's death, have not yet been clarified. Official sources urge not to draw premature conclusions until the examination is completed.
Meanwhile, social media has been reporting that some students may have been using vapes before class. However, this information has not been officially confirmed, and at this time there is no evidence to link it to the death of the 14-year-old student.
