The “criminal case” regarding His Holiness and 6 bishops has been reassigned to Judge Serzh Rushanyan. The decision was made by the Court of Cassation.
Let us recall that two judges of the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Region, Hakob Manukyan and Serzh Rushanyan, have already refused to examine this case. Manukyan had recused himself, explaining that he was granted a lawyer’s license in that case by lawyer Ara Zohrabyan. And Serzh Rushanyan had decided that the case should be examined in Yerevan. Judge Vahagn Melikyan of the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan had already decided to send the case to the Court of Cassation to determine in which court the case should be examined.
As a result, by the decision of the Court of Cassation, the case was “returned” to Rushanyan.
