The US State Department informed the Congress about the proposal to transfer US weapons from Turkey, namely MLRS multiple rocket launchers and ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine, which is confirmed by official documents of the Congress.
"The transaction described in the attached certification includes the transfer to the government of Ukraine of 12 M270 MLRS multiple rocket system launchers, 2,524 M26 dual purpose improved cluster munition (DPICM) missiles and 47,000 M509A1 203mm DPICM rounds," the document states.
The transfer of weapons is planned to be carried out through the mediation of Turkish private companies MKE, ASFAT and ARCA Savunma, Bulgarian private VTIC International Ltd., as well as American private companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group.
"The deal involves the transfer of 70 M39 modified ATACMS missiles to the government of Ukraine through the private Turkish company MKE and the private American companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group," another notification states.
