A drone flying from the territory of Romania to Bulgaria exploded on Saturday near the border of the two countries and not far from the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said, AFP reported.
According to him, the drone exploded in the north-east of Bulgaria, in the immediate vicinity of the Kardam border crossing, about 1 kilometer away from the compressor station of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
The Trans-Balkan gas pipeline connects Turkey and Ukraine and passes through the territory of Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova.
Radev reported about the incident in a video message, which the Bulgarian government published on social networks.
