"20 Minutos" newspaper reports that the Spanish government is serious about the threat of the alleged new mass flow of migrants to the autonomous city of Ceuta.
Earlier, there were reports on social networks about preparations for a new massive illegal border crossing to enter Ceuta, possibly scheduled for August 15. In response, the Kingdom's Ministries of Interior and Defense have gradually increased their presence in the city, currently standing at around 300 police personnel and 2,000 military personnel.
Civil Guard sources told the publication that it was highly unlikely that the suspected new influx of illegal immigrants would reach the scale of the crisis at the end of July, given the amount of forces and resources deployed.
Moreover, the authorities have strengthened the Ceuta border with a special sea barrier.
