The 12th meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS member states will be held in Moscow on Thursday, which will be chaired by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu, Interfax reports, the press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation informs.
"Shoigu will present a report on the situation in the field of international, regional and national security and will inform about the work done in the field of combating challenges and threats in the CIS," the message says.
Secretaries of the Security Councils of CIS member states, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan and representative of the Socialist Party of Moldova Marcel Tsenusha will participate in the meeting, the press service reported.
It is reported that the issues of information security and cooperation with Afghanistan will be discussed separately during the meeting.
The agenda also includes issues regarding joint measures of the CIS member states aimed at preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War.
