Yerevan Mayor’s Spokesperson Julieta Azaryan addressed the closure of the “Lambada” transport interchange and the resulting complaints.
She recalled that some time ago, publications were circulating in the press about the poor condition of the interchange and the numerous potholes on the road, and now complaints are being heard about its closure due to major repairs.
“Some time ago, the press wrote: Dozens of potholes have formed on the “Lambada” interchange, the people are dissatisfied. Today, the same press writes: The “Lambada” interchange has been closed, the people are extremely dissatisfied,” Azaryan wrote.
According to the mayor’s spokesperson, the renovation of urban infrastructure is not possible without temporary inconveniences.
“The city cannot be renovated without temporary inconveniences. This is simple logic,” she noted.
Azaryan reminded that the major renovation of the "Lambada" transport hub has started today.
The work includes replacing deformation seams and damaged slabs, strengthening the pillars, and laying the overhead cables underground.
According to the schedule presented by the municipality, the traffic section of the transport hub is scheduled to open on November 1.
