At the session of the National Assembly on May 6, a number of drafts were adopted in the first and second reading and in their entirety.
Among the drafts adopted in the first reading is a draft related to the activities of the Foreign Intelligence Service, by which it is proposed to provide a legal basis for defining the order of weapons and special means, that is, in which cases and in what order the officer will have the right to use weapons and special means. A requirement will also be established according to which only RA citizens can be appointed to the position of head of service and deputy. As of now, dual citizens can also be appointed. It was adopted with 67 votes in favor and 13 against.
In the first reading, the draft law "On Amendments and Amendments to the Law on the Regulation of Gaming Activities" was also adopted, with an attached legislative package, which proposes to establish a mandatory requirement by law that all online casinos have a self-blocking button in a visible place on their websites and applications, which, after pressing, will prohibit a person from participating in online casinos for a period of 5 years, without the possibility of early reopening. After the expiration of the 5-year period, the blocking will be extended again for the same period, if the citizen does not submit an application to remove the blocking 5 days before the expiration of the period. People whose only source of income is pension will also be banned from participating in the games. It was adopted with 86 votes in favor and 0 against.
One of the drafts adopted in the first reading is the draft "On Amendments to the Law on Police", according to which, in order to purchase an apartment or a residential house or build a residential house, police officers can use the state-targeted programs of long-term mortgage lending on affordable and preferential terms.
The project "On Amendments and Additions to the Law on "Medical Aid and Service of the Population"" was adopted in the second reading and in its entirety, by which it is planned to separate the concepts of "medical organization" and "healthcare organization". The requirements for the candidate for the executive body managing the health service have been reviewed.
