The son of former Norwegian diplomat Mona Juul and Terje Red-Larsen, who are under investigation for ties to financier Jeffrey Epstein, committed suicide, the Norwegian VG newspaper reported, citing the couple's lawyers, Thomas Skjelbred and John Christian Elden.
In early February, Norway's foreign ministry announced that Juul had resigned as ambassador amid an investigation into his ties to Epstein.
An investigation was soon launched against Yule and Red-Larsen for their connections with the financier; Yuul is accused of corruption and her husband of complicity. "Terry Red-Larsen and Mona Juul have lost their son," the newspaper quoted the lawyers as saying. According to them, the 25-year-old man committed suicide.
