Russia has been and remains a friend of Armenia and the Armenian people.
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan, who presented his credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin, told journalists about this.
"The Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples are friends of Russia and the Russian people, and Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin made it clear to both the citizens of Armenia and the citizens of Azerbaijan that Russia was, is and remains a friend," he noted.
Let's remind that Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the ceremony of handing over his credentials that Moscow is doing everything to settle Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and sign a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
