A meeting of the Council of Deputy Foreign Ministers with an agenda devoted to reviewing the state of consular services for Iranians living in Germany took place on Saturday after the German Foreign Ministry announced its disagreement with the continuation of the work of Iranian consulates in the cities of Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
The meeting was chaired by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. At the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, referring to the decision announced by the German Foreign Minister to close the work of our country's consulates in Germany, called this step strange and unfounded, emphasizing that it creates difficulties for Iranians living in Germany and other applicants for consular services and visas.
Araqchi also stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers itself obliged to take all possible measures and necessary steps to ensure that Iranians living in Germany receive the necessary consular services and will not spare any efforts in this direction.
