According to the lawyer, there are obvious bias tendencies in the actions of the body conducting the criminal proceedings. In particular, the investigators, ignoring the legal and substantiated petition of the injured party, refuse to assign the performance of the examination to the independent expert institution indicated by the injured party.
The lawyer noted that such an approach contradicts Article 255 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, which reserves the right for the injured party to petition for the appointment of a person or institution indicated by him as an expert.
The lawyer appealed to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on this issue, demanding to pay attention to the current situation and ensure an impartial examination of the case.
