India and the EU have signed a political statement on the conclusion of free trade agreement negotiations.

The signing ceremony, which was broadcast on Indian television, was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa.

Yesterday Kosta and von der Leyen participated in the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Republic as honored guests.
