Parliamentary elections in Georgia were transparent, competitive and democratic. Kobakhidze

The parliamentary elections held in Georgia on October 26 were transparent, competitive and democratic, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze stated during a briefing.

"The elections were completely fair, free, competitive and clean. There are no problems with transparency, those who wish can recheck," said Kobakhidze.

Earlier, the Helsinki Committee announced that after the parliamentary elections in Georgia, civil society, politicians and observers presented "clear evidence" that the election results did not reflect the will of the people. The committee also expressed support for the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, who announced that electoral fraud had taken place.

In relation to this statement, the Prime Minister of Georgia stated in a conversation with journalists: "The declarations of the Helsinki Committee are worthless."
