Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni hinted at possible "painful concessions" to Russia as part of a peace deal during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to the Corriere della Sera newspaper.
"Our prime minister's conversation was sincere, and his message can be summarized as follows.
"Remember that you may have to make some painful concessions," the publication said.
Against this background, The Telegraph newspaper, citing sources, wrote that Ukraine may make territorial concessions in Donbass if Moscow agrees to a "reciprocal" step.
